Meatballs Preparation
- 1
Mix Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- 2
Form Meatballs
Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Cook Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Bake the meatballs for about 20 minutes or until they are browned and cooked through.
Spicy Tomato Sauce Preparation
- 4
Sauté Onions and Garlic
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Then, add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- 5
Add Tomatoes and Seasonings
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 6
Combine Meatballs and Sauce
Once the meatballs are done baking, carefully add them to the sauce in the skillet. Let them simmer together for an additional 5-10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
