Toast the Bread
Place the sourdough bread slices in a toaster or under a broiler until golden brown and crispy.

Prepare the Avocado Spread
Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Add the lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mash the mixture with a fork until you achieve a creamy consistency.

Spread the Avocado
Once the bread is toasted, generously spread the avocado mixture on top of each slice.

Sprinkle chili flakes over the avocado spread to taste. Add your choice of seasonal garnish on top for extra flavor and presentation.
