Bread Pudding
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Tear the stale bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Make the Custard Mixture
In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- 3
Combine Bread and Custard
Pour the custard mixture over the torn bread pieces, ensuring all the bread is soaked. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the liquid.
- 4
Bake the Pudding
Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set.
- 5
Serve Warm
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream and drizzle with caramel sauce.
