Prepare the Patties

Form the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chuck or ground turkey. Mix gently until just combined. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick.

Season the Patties
Season each patty generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Optionally, you can add garlic powder or onion powder for additional flavor.
Cook the Patties

Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, add a slice of your choice of cheese on top of each patty. Cover with a lid to melt the cheese.
Assemble the Burger

Toast the Buns
If desired, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.

Build Your Burger
Spread remoulade or sriracha mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese on top, followed by lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.
Serve

Serve the burgers warm with additional condiments on the side, if desired.
