Preparation of Coffee Mixture

Brew Coffee
Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool to room temperature.

Mix Coffee with Liqueur
In a shallow bowl, combine the brewed coffee with granulated sugar and coffee liqueur, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
Preparation of Cheese Filling

Whisk Egg Yolks
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and 1 tablespoon of sugar until pale and fluffy.

Add Mascarpone
Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese to the egg yolk mixture until smooth.

Whip Heavy Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
Assembling the Tiramisu

Dip Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, making sure not to soak them too long.

Layering
In a serving dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers. Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the ladyfingers.

Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone filling.
Final Touches and Refrigeration

Chill Tiramisu
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings if desired.
