Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Crust

In a medium bowl, mix together graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until well combined.

  3. 3

    Form the Crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Ensure it's evenly distributed and compact.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove and let it cool while you prepare the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Beat the Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Mix

Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue beating until well combined.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Sour Cream and Vanilla

Add the sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

  4. 8

    Add Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Be careful not to overmix.

  5. 9

    Add Flour

Finally, add the all-purpose flour and mix until just incorporated.

  6. 10

    Pour into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling into the cooled crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  7. 11

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.

  8. 12

    Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake in the oven with the door slightly ajar for about 1 hour. Remove and let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
