Filling and Wrappers
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a large bowl, combine ground pork, shredded cabbage, grated carrots, chopped green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, and soy sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- 2
Wrap the Egg Rolls
Take an egg roll wrapper and place it on a clean surface with one corner facing you. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling onto the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly to seal. Use a bit of water to help seal the edges if necessary. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- 3
Fry the Egg Rolls
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or wok over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add a few egg rolls at a time, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 4
Serve
Serve the crispy egg rolls hot, accompanied by Korean pepper sauce for dipping.
