Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Escargot

If using canned escargot, rinse them under cold water and drain. If using fresh snails, ensure they are cleaned and purged before cooking.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Do not let it brown.

  3. 3

    Add Garlic and Seasonings

Finely mince the garlic cloves and add them to the melted butter. Stir in the salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  4. 4

    Add Parsley

Finely chop the parsley and add it to the garlic butter mixture. Stir to combine.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Combine Escargot with Garlic Butter

Place the escargot in a baking dish and pour the garlic butter mixture over them, ensuring all snails are well coated.

  2. 6

    Bake the Escargot

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the snails in the garlic butter for about 15-20 minutes until bubbling and heated through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve Hot

Remove from the oven and serve immediately while hot. You may serve with crusty bread to soak up the garlic butter.
