Method
Preparation
- 1
Select and Wash Oranges
Choose 4 ripe oranges that feel heavy for their size and have a vibrant color. Rinse them under cold water to remove any dirt or residues.
- 2
Cut the Oranges
Using a sharp knife, cut each orange in half. Make sure to cut through the center to expose the juicy flesh.
Juicing
- 3
Juice the Oranges
Using a manual citrus juicer or an electric juicer, press down on each half of the orange to extract the juice. Collect the juice in a pitcher or a measuring cup.
- 4
Strain (Optional)
If you prefer pulp-free juice, pour the juice through a fine-mesh strainer into another container to remove any pulp and seeds.
Serving
- 5
Sweeten (Optional)
If desired, stir in 1 tablespoon of sugar to the juice until dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.
- 6
Serve Chilled
Pour the freshly squeezed orange juice into glasses over ice cubes, if using. Enjoy immediately for the best flavor.
