Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crust

Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).

  2. 2

In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until all crumbs are evenly coated.

  3. 3

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer.

  4. 4

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and allow to cool while preparing the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

Gradually add in granulated sugar and continue mixing until well combined and fluffy.

  3. 7

Add sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.

  4. 8

Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition, just until combined.

  5. 9

Finally, add the all-purpose flour and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

  6. 10

Pour the cream cheese filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan.

Baking

  1. 11

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.

  2. 12

Once done, turn off the oven and crack the oven door, allowing the cheesecake to cool gradually for about 1 hour.

  3. 13

Remove the cheesecake from the oven, let it cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight before serving.
