Method
Preparation of Meat
- 1
Mix the Meat
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and ground lamb. Add garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until the spices are evenly distributed.
- 2
Cook the Meat
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meat mixture and cook, breaking it up with a spatula until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess fat if needed.
Preparation of Vegetables
- 3
Prepare the Vegetables
While the meat is cooking, prepare the vegetables. Shred the lettuce, dice the tomato, and thinly slice the red onion. Set aside.
Assembling the Wrap
- 4
Assemble the Wrap
Take a piece of pita bread and layer it with a generous portion of the cooked meat mixture. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and sliced red onion.
- 5
Add Sauces
Drizzle the garlic sauce and tzatziki sauce over the top of the vegetables. Adjust the quantity of sauce according to your taste preference.
- 6
Wrap it Up
Fold the sides of the pita over the filling and roll it up tightly from the bottom to create a wrap. Repeat with the remaining pita bread and filling.
