Method

Preparing the Dry Rub

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir until well blended.

Preparing the Salmon

  1. 2

    Prepare the Salmon

Pat the Atlantic salmon filets dry with a paper towel. This helps the rub adhere better.

  2. 3

    Apply the Dry Rub

Rub the dry mixture evenly over both sides of each salmon filet. Allow the salmon to sit for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  3. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F or 190°C to 200°C).

  4. 5

    Oil the Grill Grates

Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent the salmon from sticking.

  5. 6

    Grill the Salmon

Place the salmon filets on the grill, skin side down. Grill for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  6. 7

    Serve

Remove the salmon from the grill and serve with lemon wedges on the side for added flavor.
