Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Branzino

Rinse the Branzino filet under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Spinach

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Branzino

In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil if necessary and heat over medium-high heat. Place the seasoned Branzino filet skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy. Carefully flip the filet and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 4

    Make the Lemon Caper Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, stir in the lemon juice and capers. Let simmer for 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat.

  5. 5

    Plate the Dish

On a serving plate, create a bed of sautéed spinach. Place the cooked Branzino filet on top of the spinach. Drizzle the lemon caper butter over the filet and garnish with lemon wedges.
