Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crust

Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, 0.5 cups of sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheesecake Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add 1 cup of sugar and mix until well incorporated. Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and mix until smooth.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  4. 4

    Incorporate Flour

Sift the all-purpose flour and gently fold it into the cheesecake mixture until just combined.

  5. 5

    Bake the Cheesecake

Pour the cheesecake filling over the crust in the springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.

  6. 6

    Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour. Remove from the oven and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
