- 1
Prepare the Cheese
Cut the fresh mozzarella into sticks, about 1/2 inch wide and 4 inches long.
- 2
- 3
Bread the Mozzarella
Coat each mozzarella stick first in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure they are fully covered.
- 4
Chill the Mozzarella Sticks
Place the breaded mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help the coating adhere.
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Fry the Mozzarella
Carefully add a few mozzarella sticks to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 7
Serve
Serve hot with house marinara sauce or melba sauce for dipping.
