Mini Roll Ingredients

Method

Baking Directions

  1. 1

    Activate the Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. 3

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  5. 5

    Shape the Rolls

After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a small ball and place on a greased baking sheet.

  6. 6

    Second Rise

Cover the rolls with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

  7. 7

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  8. 8

    Bake the Rolls

Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

  9. 9

    Cool and Serve

Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Provide butter packets on the side.
