Prepare the Ice Cream Balls
Scoop out 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream and roll it into a ball. Repeat until you have 8 ice cream balls. Place them on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 2 hours.

Prepare the Coating
In a large bowl, crush the cornflakes into small pieces and mix in the ground cinnamon. Set aside.

Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Coat and Fry the Ice Cream Balls
Take the frozen ice cream balls out of the freezer. Dip each ball into the batter, then roll in the cornflake mixture to coat. Carefully place the coated ice cream balls into the hot oil and fry for about 30 seconds or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Serve immediately topped with sliced strawberries, your choice of sauces, and a dollop of whipped cream.
