Cauliflower Bites
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Cauliflower
Preheat your oil in a deep frying pan or pot to 350°F (175°C). Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets.
- 2
Make the Batter
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add water, whisking until the batter is smooth and thick.
- 3
Batter the Cauliflower
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing excess to drip off.
- 4
Fry the Cauliflower
Carefully place the battered cauliflower in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 5
Toss in Buffalo Sauce
In a large bowl, toss the fried cauliflower bites with buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
- 6
Serve
Serve hot with vegan ranch or buttermilk ranch on the side for dipping.
