Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions. Gently form each portion into a ball, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Sear the Patties

Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the beef balls on the skillet and flatten them using a spatula to create thin patties. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of American cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are well done.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, toast the brioche buns in a separate pan until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Smashburger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, layer shredded lettuce, caramelized onions, sauerkraut, and pickles. Add the cooked patties with melted cheese on top, then drizzle with special sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
