Pork Rinds and Seasoning

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Skin

Cut the pork skin into 1-2 inch pieces and remove any excess fat. Rinse under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 3

    Fry the Pork Rinds

Carefully add the pork skin pieces to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry until they puff up and turn golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Drain and Season

Use a slotted spoon to remove the pork rinds from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. While still hot, sprinkle with BBQ seasoning and salt to taste.

  5. 5

    Cool and Serve

Allow the pork rinds to cool completely before serving. Enjoy your homemade BBQ-flavored pork rinds!
