Grilled Cheese

Method

Grilled Cheese

  1. 1

    Prepare the Grilled Cheese

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Sandwich

Place one slice of bread, butter side down, onto the skillet. Layer with one slice of white American cheese, then top with the second slice of bread, butter side up.

  3. 3

    Cook and Flip

Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich using a spatula, and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until golden and the cheese is melted.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the grilled cheese from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, then cut it in half and serve.

French Fries

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 6

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the frozen french fries to the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  3. 7

    Drain and Season

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and drain them on paper towels. While still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.

  4. 8

    Serve

Serve the hot fries alongside the grilled cheese sandwich.
