Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken breasts, ensuring they are fully submerged in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.

Prepare the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and let the excess buttermilk drip off. Dredge each piece in all-purpose flour, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Fry the Chicken
In a deep skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken and fry for 5-7 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Waffle Batter
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

Preheat the waffle maker according to manufacturer instructions. Pour the recommended amount of batter into the waffle maker and cook until golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.
