Fried Calamari

    Prepare the Calamari

    Rinse the calamari rings under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

    Mix Dry Ingredients

    In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

    Dredge Calamari

    Coat each calamari ring in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

    Heat Oil

    In a deep pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

    Fry Calamari

    Fry the calamari in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

    Combine Ingredients

    In a medium mixing bowl, combine sweet corn kernels, diced red bell pepper, diced onion, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper.

Spicy Aïoli
