Method
Preparation of Clarified Milk
- 1
Clarifying the Milk
In a saucepan, gently heat 4 oz of milk until warm but not boiling. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Slowly add the warm milk to a mixing bowl containing 1 oz of fresh lime juice. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to curdle. After curdling, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove the solids, leaving you with clarified milk. Set aside.
