Preparation of Marinade

Prepare the Garlic
Peel and thinly slice the garlic cloves.

Mix the Marinade
In a small bowl, combine the sliced garlic, fresh thyme, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the marinade.
Marinating the Cheese

Prepare the Cheese
Cut the Manchego cheese into small cubes or wedges, depending on your preference.

Combine with Marinade
Place the cheese pieces in a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the cheese, making sure all pieces are well-coated. Cover the dish with plastic wrap.

Refrigerate the marinated cheese for at least 1 hour, but preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

After marinating, remove the cheese from the refrigerator. Arrange the marinated Manchego on a serving plate. Slice the pear membrillo into small squares or wedges.
