Churro Dough Preparation

Boil Water and Melt Butter
In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Add Flour
Once the mixture is boiling, remove it from heat and stir in 1 cup of all-purpose flour until fully incorporated and the dough forms a ball.

Cool Dough
Allow the dough to cool for about 10 minutes.

Add Eggs
Add 2 large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.

Prepare Oil for Frying
In a deep frying pan, heat 2 cups of vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Frying Churros

Pipe Churros
Transfer the churro dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Carefully pipe 4 to 6-inch strips of dough into the hot oil.

Fry Until Golden
Fry the churros for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Coat with Cinnamon Sugar
In a shallow bowl, mix 1/2 cup of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Roll the hot churros in this mixture until fully coated.
Chocolate Sauce Preparation

Heat Cream
In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer.

Melt Chocolate
Remove from heat and add 6 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and well combined.
