Kofta Ingredients

Method

Kofta Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix the Meat Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Shape the Koftas

Using your hands, mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. Then, shape the mixture into small oval or cylindrical kofta shapes, about 2 inches long.

  3. 3

    Prepare for Cooking

Brush the formed koftas with olive oil to prevent sticking and enhance flavor. Let them rest for about 20 minutes while you prepare the tzatziki.

  4. 4

    Cook the Koftas

You can grill, broil, or pan-fry the koftas over medium-high heat for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through.

Tzatziki Preparation

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (make sure it's drained of excess water), minced garlic, chopped dill, and lemon juice.

  2. 6

    Season

Add salt to taste and stir well until all ingredients are combined.

  3. 7

    Chill

Cover and refrigerate the tzatziki for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
