Preparation of the Bread

Slice the Bread
Cut the baguette or Italian bread into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Toast the Bread
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the sliced bread on a baking sheet and brush both sides lightly with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Optional: Rub the toasted bread with a cut garlic clove for extra flavor.

Prepare the Tomato Mixture
Dice the fresh tomatoes and place them in a bowl. Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the tomatoes.

Add Cheese and Seasoning
Cube the fresh mozzarella cheese and add it to the tomato and basil mixture. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar, sprinkle with salt and black pepper, and gently toss to combine all ingredients.

Assemble the Bruschetta
Spoon the tomato, basil, and mozzarella mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread.
