Prepare the Espresso
Brew a shot of espresso using your preferred method (espresso machine, stovetop, etc.). Set aside.

Scoop the Gelato
Place one scoop of gelato into a serving bowl or glass.

Pour the Espresso
Carefully pour the hot espresso over the gelato, allowing it to 'drown' in the coffee.

Add Whipped Cream
Top the affogato with a dollop of whipped cream.

Sprinkle chocolate shavings on top for an extra touch.
