Cocktail
- 1
Prepare and blend
Measure all liquid ingredients: 2 oz white rum, 4 oz pineapple juice, 1.5 oz cream of coconut, and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice. Add measured ingredients to a blender.
- 2
Add 1.5 cups of ice to the blender. Secure lid and blend on high for 15–25 seconds until the mixture is smooth and slightly slushy. If too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons pineapple juice and pulse once; if too thin, add a small handful (about 1/4 cup) more ice and pulse.
- 3
Taste and adjust: if you prefer sweeter, add 1/4 oz more cream of coconut and blend briefly. If you want brighter acidity, add another 1/4 oz lime juice and pulse once.

- 5
If using the optional dark rum float: slowly pour 1/2 oz dark rum over the back of a spoon held just above the drink surface so the rum layers on top.
- 6
Garnish with one pineapple wedge and one maraschino cherry on a pick. Sprinkle a very light pinch (about 1/10 tsp) of freshly grated nutmeg over the top if desired.
- 7
Serve immediately with a straw.
