Prepare the String Beans
Wash and trim the string beans, removing any tough ends.

Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.

Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Batter the String Beans
Dip each string bean into the batter, coating it evenly.

Fry the String Beans
Carefully place the battered string beans in the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve hot with lemon horseradish aioli on the side.
