Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crust
In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
- 2
Make the Pudding
In a medium bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to set.
- 3
Assemble the Pie
Slice the ripe bananas and layer them evenly over the cooled pie crust. Pour the prepared pudding over the bananas, spreading it evenly.
- 4
Prepare the Whipped Cream
In a mixing bowl, combine heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer on high speed until stiff peaks form.
- 5
Finish the Pie
Spread the whipped cream over the top of the pudding layer. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to set.
