Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Cut in Butter
Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

Add Buttermilk
Pour in the buttermilk and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

Shape Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick. Fold the dough over itself a couple of times, then cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter.

Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
