Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Place the ribeye steaks on a plate and drizzle olive oil over both sides. Use your hands to rub the oil into the meat evenly.

  2. 2

    Add Seasonings

Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and garlic powder evenly over both sides of the steaks. Make sure to coat them generously for enhanced flavor.

  3. 3

    Add Fresh Rosemary

Place one sprig of fresh rosemary on each steak, pressing it gently into the meat to infuse flavor.

Grilling the Steak

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, approximately 450°F (232°C). This ensures a nice sear on the steak.

  2. 5

    Grill the Steaks

Once the grill is hot, place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the grill. Close the lid and grill for about 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, flipping once halfway through.

  3. 6

    Check for Doneness

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. For medium-rare, it should read 130-135°F (54-57°C).

  4. 7

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Optional Sides Preparation

  1. 8

    Prepare Asparagus

While the steaks are resting, toss the asparagus in olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill them alongside the steaks for about 5-7 minutes until tender.

  2. 9

    Add Butter and Lemon

In the last minute of grilling, place butter on top of the asparagus and squeeze fresh lemon juice over them for added flavor.
