Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Dice the jalapeños, vine-ripe tomatoes, and scallions. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Chop the Black Olives

Slice the black olives into rounds and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Layer the Nachos

On a large baking sheet or oven-safe platter, spread a layer of tortilla chips (not listed in ingredients). Evenly sprinkle half of the cheddar-jack cheese over the chips.

  2. 4

    Add the Toppings

Evenly distribute the diced jalapeños, tomatoes, scallions, and black olives over the cheese layer.

  3. 5

    Top with Cheese

Sprinkle the remaining cheddar-jack cheese over the top of the layers.

Baking

  1. 6

    Bake the Nachos

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the assembled nachos in the preheated oven and bake for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serving

  1. 7

Add Pico de Gallo and Sour Cream

Once the nachos are out of the oven, top them with pico de gallo and a dollop of sour cream. Serve immediately.
