Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patty

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into a patty about 6 ounces in weight.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the burger patty and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place the brie cheese on top of the patty to allow it to melt.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the burger is cooking, slice the vine-ripe tomato and wash the green leaf lettuce leaves.

  4. 4

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In another pan, add a little olive oil and sauté the sliced Kennett mushrooms over medium heat until they are soft and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the burger bun, place the cooked burger patty topped with melted brie. Layer the sautéed mushrooms, slices of vine-ripe tomato, and green leaf lettuce on top. Finish with the top half of the bun.

  2. 6

    Serve

Serve the Cat Ballou burger warm with your choice of sides.
