Method

Croutons Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Baguette

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the baguette into small cubes until you have about 2 cups worth.

  2. 2

    Season the Croutons

In a bowl, toss the baguette cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Bake the Croutons

Spread the seasoned baguette cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, stirring occasionally. Set aside to cool.

Salad Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Romaine

Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly, then chop it into bite-sized pieces. Place in a large salad bowl.

  2. 5

    Add Parmesan

Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the romaine lettuce.

  3. 6

    Add Croutons

Once the croutons are cooled, add them to the salad bowl with the romaine and parmesan.

Dressing Preparation

  1. 7

    Mix the Dressing

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, anchovy paste, and black pepper until smooth.

Final Assembly

  1. 8

    Combine Salad and Dressing

Drizzle the dressing over the salad just before serving and toss to combine. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.

  2. 9

    Serve

Serve the Caesar salad immediately and enjoy!
