Method
Chocolate Spread Preparation
Melt the Chocolate
In a heatproof bowl, place the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Set the bowl over a pot of simmering water, ensuring the bowl does not touch the water, and gently stir until both ingredients are fully melted and smooth.
Combine Ingredients
Remove the bowl from the heat and stir in the toasted sunflower oil and flaky sea salt. Mix well until all ingredients are combined and the mixture is smooth and glossy.
Toast the Bread
Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the slices of challah bread on a baking sheet.
Toast the Bread
Toast the challah bread in the oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
Assembly
Spread the Chocolate
Once the challah is toasted, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Generously spread the chocolate mixture over each slice of toasted challah.
Serve
Finish with an extra sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top of the chocolate spread. Serve immediately and enjoy your gourmet chocolate 'butter'-brod.
