Method

Turkey Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Turkey

In a bowl, mix together olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Rub this mixture all over the turkey breast and let it marinate for at least 1 hour.

  2. 2

    Grill the Turkey

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated turkey breast for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally until fully cooked. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  3. 3

    Slice the Turkey

Once cooked, remove the turkey from the grill and allow it to rest for 10 minutes. Slice the turkey into thin slices for the sandwich.

Stuffing Preparation

  1. 4

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped celery and onion, and sauté until soft, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 5

    Combine Stuffing Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the sautéed vegetables, bread cubes, chicken broth, sage, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the bread cubes are evenly moistened.

  3. 6

    Bake the Stuffing

Transfer the stuffing mixture to a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

Cranberry Sauce Preparation

  1. 7

    Cook the Cranberries

In a saucepan, combine fresh cranberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.

  2. 8

    Add Flavor

Stir in the orange juice and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Prepare the Sandwich

Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on the inside of each sandwich roll. Layer the sliced turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce on the rolls.

  2. 10

    Serve

Close the sandwich rolls and serve immediately while hot.
