Method

Cooking the Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the New York striploin steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Season both sides of the steak generously with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil or butter. Once hot, place the steak in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust time to desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Cooking the Eggs and Hash Browns

  1. 5

    Cook the Hash Browns

In the same skillet, add the hash browns and cook according to package instructions, usually about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

  2. 6

    Cook the Eggs

In a separate pan, fry, scramble, or poach the eggs according to your preference. Season with salt and pepper.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, serve the sliced steak alongside the eggs, hash browns, and toast. Enjoy your Steak & Eggs!
