1. Prepare the Chicken Filling
In a bowl, combine shredded chicken with cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated with the spices.
2. Prepare the Sour Cream Dip
In another bowl, mix sour cream, fresh lime juice, and chopped cilantro until well combined. Set aside.

3. Assemble the Taquitos
Heat corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side to soften. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the chicken filling onto each tortilla, roll tightly, and secure with a toothpick if necessary.
4. Fry the Taquitos
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the taquitos in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels.

Remove toothpicks from taquitos, if used, and serve hot with the sour cream dip on the side.
