Instructions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, lime juice, olive oil, minced lemongrass, salt, and black pepper. Add the hanger steak, ensuring it's well-coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the steak is marinating, julienne the carrot and daikon radish. Slice the cucumber thinly. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, carrot, daikon, cucumber, and cilantro. Toss gently to mix. Slice the grilled steak and place it on top of the salad.

  5. 5

    Serve

Garnish the salad with chopped peanuts and serve immediately with additional lime wedges if desired.
