Cook the Seafood
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the octopus for about 40 minutes or until tender. Remove and let cool, then cut into bite-sized pieces. In the same pot, cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes or until pink, then drain and let cool.

Marinate the Fish
In a bowl, combine the fish fillets with olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, and red pepper flakes. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

In a large serving bowl, combine the marinated fish, octopus, shrimp, green olives, and capers. Toss gently to combine all the ingredients.

Let the insalata di mare sit for an additional 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld, then serve chilled or at room temperature.
