Method

Preparation

1

Clean the Seafood

Thoroughly clean the clams and mussels under cold running water. Remove any beards from mussels. Peel and devein the shrimp.

2

Prepare the Garlic and Parsley

Mince the garlic and chop the parsley finely.

Cooking

3

Sauté

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

4

Add Seafood

Add the clams, mussels, and shrimp to the pot. Stir to combine.

5

Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the white wine and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the seafood begins to open (for clams and mussels) and the shrimp turns pink.

6

Add Parsley and Season

Stir in the chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. If making the Jadera version, add the tomato sauce at this point and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

7

Serve

Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
