Prepare Tortilla Bowls

Fry Tortillas
In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, gently place a flour tortilla into the oil, using a spatula to shape it into a bowl. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Cook Meat
In a skillet over medium heat, add ground beef or shredded chicken. Cook until browned if using ground beef. Drain excess fat if necessary. Add taco seasoning and water, stir well, and let simmer for 5 minutes until the mixture is thickened.
Assemble Salad

Layer Ingredients
In each tortilla bowl, start with a layer of the meat mixture. Top with shredded lettuce, followed by a drizzle of cheese sauce. Add a spoonful of guacamole and sour cream. Dice the tomato and sprinkle it over the top, finishing with a generous amount of shredded cheese.
