Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix until a thick, smooth batter forms.
- 4
Preheat the Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Make sure there's enough oil for frying the donuts.
- 5
Shape the Donuts
Using a donut mold or piping bag, shape the batter into donut forms. If using a piping bag, pipe into rounds.

Fry the Donuts
Carefully place the shaped donuts into the hot oil. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 7
Drain and Cool
Remove the donuts from oil and let them drain on paper towels. Allow them to cool slightly.
- 8
Prepare the Glaze
In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar with water until smooth. If desired, add food coloring for a fun touch.
- 9
Glaze the Donuts
Dip the warm donuts into the glaze and let the excess drip off. Place them on a wire rack to set.
