Method

Brownie Base Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugars

Stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until well combined.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. 5

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

  6. 6

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.

  7. 7

    Add Chocolate Chips

    Fold in the chocolate chips.

  8. 8

    Bake Brownies

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool completely.

Assembly

  1. 9

    Prepare the Sundae

Once the brownies are completely cooled, cut them into squares.

  2. 10

    Add Ice Cream

Place one square of brownie in a serving bowl and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  3. 11

    Drizzle Fudge

Pour hot fudge sauce generously over the ice cream.

  4. 12

    Add Toppings

Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and a cherry on top.
