    Prepare the Rice

    Rinse the white rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.

    Cook the Salmon

    Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the salmon fillets with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Grill or pan-sear the salmon for about 4-6 minutes per side, or until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Brush the salmon with BBQ sauce during the last minute of cooking.

    Assemble the Bowl

    Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and divide it into bowls. Place the grilled salmon on top of the rice. Drizzle additional BBQ sauce over the salmon if desired. Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
