Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the New York Strip Steak out of the refrigerator and let it rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and chopped fresh rosemary evenly on both sides.

  3. 3

    Cooking the Steak

Heat a skillet over high heat until it's very hot. Place the steak in the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Crispy Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 5

    Cook the Potatoes

Peel and cut russet potatoes into chunks. Boil them in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to pot.

  2. 6

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter, heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  3. 7

    Prepare for Baking

Fold in grated Parmesan cheese into the mashed potatoes. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.

  4. 8

    Add Topping and Bake

Sprinkle panko breadcrumbs evenly on top of the mashed potatoes. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

Vegetable Preparation

  1. 9

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a bowl, toss the asparagus and sliced carrots with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 10

    Cook the Vegetables

Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the seasoned vegetables. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
