Crispy Mashed Potatoes

Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the sirloin steak with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Crispy Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 3

    Boil the Potatoes

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the cubed russet potatoes and cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.

  2. 4

    Mash the Potatoes

Add butter, heavy cream, cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper to the drained potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  3. 5

    Crispy Top

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Transfer the mashed potatoes to a baking dish. Top with breadcrumbs and bake for 20 minutes or until the top is golden and crispy.

Seasonal Vegetables Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a large bowl, toss the mixed seasonal vegetables with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 7

    Cook the Vegetables

Steam or sauté the seasoned vegetables in a skillet over medium heat until they are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
